itsdearher ("we", "us", "our") operates itsdearher.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and how you can control it. By using itsdearher.com, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Account & order information — name, email address, phone number, and (for physical orders) shipping address, collected when you create an account, place an order, or check out as a guest.

Content you create — the personalised text, photos, recipient names, and messages you enter when building a surprise page, letter kit, or other gift. This content is stored so your gift link works, and is only shown to people who have the link.

Payment information — payments are processed by our payment partner, PayU. We do not store your card, UPI, or net-banking credentials on our servers; PayU handles that data under its own security standards.

Usage data — pages visited, buttons clicked, and general device/browser information, collected automatically via Google Analytics and Meta Pixel to help us understand what's working and improve the site.

Communications — messages you send us via email, WhatsApp, contact form, or the AI Bestie chat feature.

2. How we use your information

  • To create, deliver, and maintain the gift pages, letter kits, and orders you pay for
  • To process payments and send order confirmations, receipts, and delivery updates
  • To respond to your questions and support requests
  • To send you relevant updates if you've opted in (you can unsubscribe anytime)
  • To understand how people use the site, and to improve it — including through analytics and, where enabled, advertising tools like Meta Ads
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse of the platform

3. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Payment processing: PayU, to process your payment securely
  • Infrastructure: Supabase (database & hosting), Vercel (hosting), AWS S3 (photo storage) — all under standard data-processing agreements
  • Email delivery: Resend, to send order and account emails
  • Analytics & advertising: Google Analytics and Meta Pixel, to measure site performance and, where applicable, run ads
  • Shipping (physical orders only): our courier/logistics partner, to deliver physical products where offered
  • Law enforcement or regulators, only where legally required

4. Gift page content & privacy

Surprise pages and letter kits are accessible only to people who have the direct link. We do not index unpaid preview pages in search engines, and we do not share the personal content of your page (names, photos, messages) with third parties for marketing purposes. Please only use photos and content you have the right to share.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and order information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Paid gift pages remain accessible indefinitely unless you ask us to remove them.

6. Your choices

  • You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • You can ask us to correct or delete your personal information, subject to what we need to retain for legal/accounting reasons
  • You can opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any email
  • You can control cookies and analytics tracking through your browser settings

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections (HTTPS), access-controlled databases, and secure payment processing via PayU — to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your data safe.

8. Children's privacy

itsdearher is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
